Seth Halio Joins Novariant As Chief Financial Officer

FREMONT, Calif. – May 27, 2008 – Novariant, Inc., the leading provider of premier industrial solutions for precision positioning and intelligent machine control systems, today announced that Seth Halio has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer.

Halio brings significant executive leadership with nearly 25 years of experience in accounting and finance. Most recently, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Diamond Foods, Inc., where he worked since 2005 and was part of the team that took the company public. Prior to that, Halio served in various senior financial management positions including roles as Vice President, Finance and Corporate Controller at Ocular Sciences, Inc., Spectra-Physics, Inc., Digital Video Systems, Inc. and California Microwave, Inc. Earlier in his career, Halio spent over eight years with Ernst & Young LLP. He is a graduate of Bucknell University.
