FarmPRO GPS System Wins Coveted AE50 Award

ST. JOSEPH, MICHIGAN - June 2, 2009 - The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) has announced that the AutoFarm FarmPRO™ GPS Steering & Application Control System has won an AE50 Award.

Deemed one of the year's most innovative designs in engineering products or systems for the food and agriculture industries, the FarmPRO system is featured in the June 2009 special AE50 issue of ASABE's magazine Resource: Engineering & Technology for a Sustainable World.

The FarmPRO system, jointly developed by AutoFarm and Raven Industries, was designed for professional growers and custom applicators who want high accuracy GPS steering plus full variable rate and application control in a single, easy-to-use system. FarmPRO combines the Viper Pro state-of-the-art display and control system from Raven Industries with industry-leading sub-inch accurate RTK AutoSteer™ from AutoFarm. It offers a feature-rich steering and application control system that is all right at the operator's finger tips through a single large screen display.

Companies from around the world submit entries to the annual AE50 competition and up to 50 of the best products are chosen by a panel of international engineering experts. The judges select products that will best advance engineering for the food and agriculture industries.

The AE50 award program is sponsored by Resource to emphasize the role of new products and systems in bringing advanced technology to the marketplace. These engineering developments help farmers, food processors and equipment manufacturers cut costs, enhance quality and increase profits.
